Alternative testing locations can be found through the ACCUPLACER web page. After finding an alternative location, please email email@example.com with your full name and Student ID.
Can I take the ACCUPLACER after orientation?
Yes, but you will not be able to enroll in a math course until 2-3 business days after you take the ACCUPLACER.
I took AP math in High School, do I need the Accuplacer?
AP scores arrive at UCCS in July of each year. If you would like to enroll in a Calculus I (MATH 1350) course before then, you will need the ACCUPLACER. The test cannot place students into MATH courses higher than Calculus I. You may discuss your best options with your Academic Advisor during or after orientation.
I registered for the test, but now I can't attend, what do I do?
What if I need a disability accommodation for the test?
Please indicate your desire to have a disability accommodation on the "Additional Information" section of the ACCUPLACER registration page.
How many times can I take the Accuplacer Test?
Students may only sign up for one test date at a time. After taking Accuplacer once, you may sign up for a second time, if you are not satisfied with your score. Students may not take the Accuplacer more than twice. If you feel you have a very good reason for needing to take the placement exam a third time, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. You must include your full name and student number in the email.
Who do I contact if I have a question?
If you have a question about the MPT, please send an email to the Math Placement Test Coordinator at email@example.com
Please include your full name and student ID in your email.
